100 Mile Club, since 1993

Register Now! Registration closes September 6, 2024

The 100 Mile Club meets Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings (not Wednesdays!) from 8:15 – 8:45 in the field behind the school.  There are also opportunities to earn miles through district sponsored events such as 5k and 10k races and free district 100 Mile Club events.

Students can track how far they have walked or run during 100 Mile Club events during the school year. The goal is to reach 100 miles before the school year ends.

The program usually starts up in September. Look for registration information in the weekly school newsletter.

The Blue Mountain Student Council’s purpose is to give the students a voice in the school, focusing on:

  • Developing school spirit
  • Community service
  • School improvement

Each month the Student Council sponsors a Spirit Day. They operate a School Store that is open before school when announced. Each semester the Council participates in a Community Service project utilizing the funds raised through the School Store.

The Student Council is sponsored by two staff members, Mrs. Hampton and Mrs. Cook.

Odyssey of the Mind (OM) is a program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competition on the local, state, and World level.

This opportunity is open to students in kindergarten through 5th grade. Teams are organized each fall and have 4-6 members, with a parent serving as the coach. Teams meet weekly, either after school or on the weekends. Competition events begin in early Spring.

We do not currently have a parent volunteer for OM. Please contact the office if you are interested.
