Colleen Toohey grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. She moved to Colorado in 1995 after graduating from Michigan State University with a multi-disciplinary major in Psychology, English and Economics. She earned her Master’s degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder in Special Education and Cultural and Linguistic Diversity. This her 26th year teaching in St. Vrain. Colleen has 3 children ages 19, 21 and 23. In her free time, she enjoys writing, traveling, camping, paddle boarding, snowshoeing and skiing. She is very grateful to be a part of the Blue Mountain community!
