Laura Mason teaches first grade. She is proud to be a staff member at Blue Mountain Elementary. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science and teaching credentials from Metro State University of Denver. She holds a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Adams State University. She is certified to teach Kindergarten through sixth grade. This will be her 24th year of teaching. Personally, she has been married for 38 wonderful years and has four fantastic adult children. She is a proud grandma and enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren . She enjoys gardening, playing tennis, and taking her two border collies for walks. She has a true passion for working with the youngest learners!! Helping each child progress in all areas of their development is what she strives for and is a job she is honored to accept daily. She strives to create a community of learners that nurtures growth in a positive, fun, and caring environment.
