Lauren Cranny was born and raised in Niwot, Colorado and attended Saint Vrain Schools growing up. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Elementary Education. Shortly after graduation, she decided to move back to beautiful Colorado (away from the midwest cold) and begin her teaching career. This is Lauren’s second year teaching at Blue Mountain. She has loved being part of this community and values building meaningful relationships with students, families and staff. During the summer, she works as a swim coach for kids ages 4 to 18! Outside of teaching and coaching, she is a big believer in balance and adventure. She loves traveling with her family/friends (she is working toward her goal of visiting 30 countries before she turns 30!), playing pickleball, diving into a good book or podcast and unwinding with yoga. She loves music, especially country music, and never passes up a chance to go to a concert. Lauren brings the same enthusiasm she has for life into teaching, always aiming to help students explore, grow, have fun and enjoy the journey.
