Ms. Mia is excited to continue supporting students at Blue Mountain elementary again this year. Her passion for occupational therapy stems from enjoying finding creative and individualized solutions to help others. She values meeting students where they are at, and using a neuro-affirming, strengths-based, collaborative approach. She has worked with children for her entire career, mostly in private practice. She holds a B.S. in occupational therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2001) and a post-professional M.S. from Mount Mary University (2023).

Growing up as an "Air Force Brat," Ms. Mia moved frequently, which sparked her love for travel and exploration. She has lived in Longmont with her husband and two children since 2006—the longest she's ever stayed in one place. In her free time she enjoys live music, the theater, puzzles and beekeeping.
