Bio
I was born and raised in Boulder, and teaching runs in my blood, as both of my parents were teachers in Boulder for 30 years. This will be my 22nd year teaching, and my first year teaching 5th grade. I'm so excited for the upcoming year! I previously taught 3rd and 4th grades. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Psychology, and I earned a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I helped open Blue Mountain Elementary, and I can’t imagine working anywhere else. I love the community here, and Blue Mountain feels like home to me! In my spare time, I like to travel, cook, bike ride, and garden. My husband, my dogs, and I also like to spend as much time as possible at our family cabin in Gold Hill, Colorado.
