Blue Mountain PTO is looking to fill the following positions: Vice President of Communications – Oversee all communication from the BMES PTO to the BMES school community, create and update (as necessary) parent email distribution lists and act as the primary channel for email communication to parents, and communicate with BMES staff on a weekly basis regarding PTO contributions to the Weekly Update. Serve as the leader of the Communications Committee, which will be charged, in part, with the following tasks: management of the BMES PTO website, management of all BMES PTO social media accounts, organization of non-electronic communication (i.e. bulletin boards, signs, tables at BMES events), and teacher communication. The Vice President of Communications will work closely with committee chairs, including being present at key meetings as appropriate, particularly surrounding disbursement of information to the BMES community. The Vice President of Communications will temporarily perform the duties of the President in the absence or inability of the President to serve. Vice President of Fundraising – Oversee all fundraising activities, work closely with committee chairs for events that are primarily fundraising in nature, reach out to businesses in the greater Longmont community to secure donations for BMES PTO programs and events, and explore new opportunities to increase BMES PTO income. The Vice President of Fundraising shall serve as the leader of the Fundraising Committee, which will be comprised of committee chairs for all events or fundraising functions, including, but not limited to Turkey Trot, Box tops, Milk Tops, Spirit Nights, Book Fair, and grocery shopping cards.
