I am excited to announce the launch of an “All School Movement” initiative here at Blue Mountain! We created a 20 minute time slot every morning for students to get a sustained 20 minute movement break. Students will continue to do mini movement breaks throughout the day.
We are continuously learning about the positive effects exercise has on our bodies and specifically our brains. This initiative was inspired by a book titled Spark by John Ratey. He focuses mainly on the positive effects movement has on the brain. It’s a great read, and I strongly recommend the book. Please feel free to contact me if you should have questions.
